EGT Sensor is high temperature sensor designed to measure
the engine exhaust gas temperature. NTC (negative
temperature Coefficient) type and PTC (positive temperature
coefficient) type sensors are defined by their coefficient
characteristic. NTC type shows decrease in resistance per
temperature rise whereas PTC type shows increase in resistance.
